JJ's Grandfather being called back Home
Today is a sad day, JJ's grandfather was being called home by the Lord.
My FIL, JJ's grandfather passed away in the hospital this morning. the nurse called to notify us that his BP was dropping and advised us to rush down. The 2nd call to Jane after a few min was to inform that he has passed on. I can see my MIL was sad over the demise of her hubby. I believe i will feel the same when my dear pass on.
The wake service lasts for 3 days . While the rest of the family members are at the void deck, I was home reflecting what i remember of my FIL.
Yes, he cooked good food. I remember i ate good and tasty food when i was dating my ah dear back then. Comparing to my MIL, i must say that he has a high calibre in cooking. Now..no more hokkien mee, the white color type + vinegar.
Another incident is during my cyst operation, both my in laws came to visit me. My FIL actually waited for everyone to settle down or move away, he then walked over n asked "Ok Bo" ...for that moment i was quite touched by his fatherly question. Simple but touching, esp he's like 2nd father after my dad passed away.
And now, another fatherly/grandfatherly gesture was he will pass me a few hundreds dollars and said "buy milk powder for the kids" This is his way of expressing his love for his 2 little "soon"
Lastly i wanted to tell my FIL, I will let the kids know what you have done for them when they start to understand. And thank you for being a good father in law.
