Happy Birthday to My Ah Dear

Due to my busy work these days, I nearly forget that it's your birthday tmr. I'm so sorry I really lost touch of the days, + the daily schedule to send the kiddos to school. And maybe reaching this age, birthday celebration is less important to us! 

Just as i was scrambling how to make a card to you, I grabbed the new Daily Bread for Families and Kids. I was looking for some bible verse to encourage you, and there it goes, i flipped to a page that shared about a father who lost his job. So i thou i can type the passage on my blog to share with you. 

Replacing the name with Joy. 

"Look! I caught one!" Joy exclaimed, holding her net. Joy had caught a monarch butterfly. 

 "I wish Dad was here with us", said Joy. 

"Your father needs some time alone," Mum explained. "Ever since he lost his job, he has been feeling down." 

Mum stared at the butterfly and said "Did you know that when a butterfly emerges from its chrysalis, it has tiny, shriveled wings?" The butterfly needs to pump fluid through its wings, and then wait for it's body and wings to harden. Only after that can it take flight."

"Do you think Dad feels like a butterfly with shriveled wings? Unable to fly? Joy asked. 

"I think so, Dad is going through a big change in his life, and now, he's waiting on the Lord. It's easy to feel down when we wait, but Proverbs 3:5 encourages us to 'trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.' Dad needs to trust in God's timing and direction right now. The waiting won't be forever. " 

Just like butterfly, you will be flying soon! 

Just like the passage, I know this is the down time of your life now, jobless and with a sickly mother. But do take refuge in God, as He is the Lord that will never give up on us and will provide the peace in your heart. And also this is the time in which our relationship/marriage is put to test. Do we break up due to this difficult moment? And i do remember you ask "if i will divorce you?" 

The answer is: No, and stop being silly like John!

I did not marry you during the good times and ditch you during the bad times. According to the vows, we will stick through thick and thin during the good and bad times. I married a man with a big heart, who loves his family more than anything. So thank you for the love you always give me and the JJ. 

To be honest, I do worry about you not being able to find a job esp at this age. But somehow God plays an important role in our life, esp putting peace in our hearts. Hence I believe God will do the impossible and provide a way for you. So at the meantime time, have faith, even it is as small as a mustard seed.
