JJ are 9! A Staycation in Shangri-la Hotel @ Orange Grove
Due to the COVID measures, the usual family chalet and gathering was no longer possible for this Mar 2021.
Of cos, many of us were not able to travel overseas for the last 1+ year, so I decided to splurge to a 2D1N staycation at the Shangri-la hotel at Orange Grove. And of cos, thank you SG govt, each Singaporean is given $100 SingapreDiscover Voucher. So the $100 bucks is used to offset part of the room cost.
To live up to the kiasu-ism, we checked in to the hotel earlier than usual, just to secure a swimming slot at the Splash zone on the same day in the noon. Other than the Splash pool, the hotel has other amendities catered esp for the kids. Since it's the JJ birthday, I made reservation for a play session at the Buds, and a baking class. It's a play day for them! For parents, do note that there are additional charges for the activites.
Also the kids got a treasure hunt map, in which they are rewarded with 1 scoop of ice cream from the LINE restaurant upon completion.
In the noon, the kiddos' grandmothers, XiaoGu and Baby YiYi joined us at the hotel. The only item we were looking forward was the picnic set to be deliver to the room. Instead of eating under the hot sun, we were picnic-ing inside the air-con rooms. Wahahaha!
Guess what, the hotel prepared 2 cakes for the JJ. Kudos to Shangri-la Hotel for their thumb-up service!
The next day, the Theye woke up earlier for a morning swim before heading to the LINE restaurant for breakfast. As usual, the elderly + Baby Yiyi are awake. There is a saying that "Elderly need less hours of sleep!". So the 3 of them went to chop a big table for us, before we joined them. And just nice, 8 pax are allowed for dining-in!
