Staycation @ Sentosa
The first Friday of Sep, which is Teacher's Day and most schools and childcare centres are closed on this date! So I have made a reservation of the Sofitel Sentosa Hotel, making use of the StayPlus from the hotel package that I bought. Thanks to Amanda for the recommendation.
So we had a quick breakfast at the market before taking bus down to Vivocity. And thanks to my quick-witted hubby, he bought the monorail tickets at $1 ticket each using our Safra membership. So the kids enjoyed the monorail ride. However to head down the "Port of the Lost wonder", we took to the Beach Station and to take short tram ride.
Once reaching, the kids will issue with a Port Passport and Curio coins in which they can use it to pay for activities with the POWL. So the kids changed and jumped into the pool.
Joy headed down to the Pirate ship, and she found her childcare centre friend, Ethan was there too. So the kids headed to the Bubbles party after paying 30 Curio coins. But John came out of the bubble party as he does not like the bubbles on his face. And my dear John, he loves the waterfall at the corner of Pirate ship and he stayed at that corner while Joy enjoyed the slides with her Daddy. As usual Joy is the more adventurous one, while John will stay at his usual spot.
After a long play, Joy asked for lunch. And I quickly ordered some food from the "Port Belly". They served quite good food, as Ah dear is happy with his Chicken Briyani, while the kids enjoyed the Bolognese pasta, fries and Chicken hotdog. I must say the food standard is quite good as food at such places sucks at times!
After lunch, the kids played for a while before we head down to Sofitel to check in. As advised on the map, we got off the right tram stop, but we can't find the entrance to the hotel. And we decided to walk ahead, and saw a sign board stating "it's 132 steps up to the Sofitel Hotel, and it's open for in-house guests" And yes.. we climbed the 132 steps!
And Thank God for the blessing, the room was upgraded to Garden room.Woo hoo!!! And the bathroom came with a bathtub, so the kids have another round of water play in the hotel before knock out after a bottle of milk.
In the evening, we missed the Bus 3 to the Beach station, hence we walked down the 132 steps to take the tram. And we took the monorail to bring us to the RWS area to have our dinner. After dinner, the kids went to the Candylicious to get some candies while I bought a cake fr Cedela. We headed back to Beach station for some ice cream while Ah Dear went to get Marybrown for his supper.
With the bus schedule, we were able to catch Bus 3 to bring us directly to the hotel lobby instead of climbing the 132 steps!
So the kids have their 2nd round of water play before they lay down on the comfortable king-sized bed to watch their cartoons. As for Ah Dear and me, we enjoyed our fried chicken and cake bought earlier.
With this, I sum up our Theye family staycation @ Sentosa.
