Another staycation and Playdate at Kidzania
As I have to utilise the last night of my package before the expiry in Mar, we decided to bring the kids to Kidzania Singapore for a day before checking in Sofitel for a staycation.
We had our breakfast in the market before meeting up with the Teo's family. We always trouble Marcus to "tom-pang" us into Resort World. We took the monorail and headed to Beach station. It's a short walking distance from the station to Kidzania. We reached at around 9.45am, so we can start as early as Kidzania opens at 10am to 5pm!
Throwing back ...the night before, I was telling the kids to sleep early so we can head out early for the kidzania trip. And I had sat down with the kids to plan for the activities that they are interested to do.
Upon checking in, we realised that there is big group of school kids who are here. We headed for the CSI Agent but it was packed with the kids. So we simply jumped into the Nursery queue, in which the kids learnt to bath a baby. The next job, CSI Agent, as Paul missed this role-play back in the last trip in Kidzania BKK. The kids dressed up as agents, and headed to the hospital to collect evidence of a crime. John was told by the nurse to write "STOLEN" on the board, while Joy used her hand to collect a bottle to be placed into a bag, hold on by Paul.
The next job was BBQ Meat Specialist, in simple terms they are to bbq the Bah gua in the 'Lim Chee Guan' station. By the 4th station it was lunch time after they completed making a pizza, along with their school friend Caleb whom they met at Kidzania.
Next stop, it's time for dessert, Paddle Pop Ice cream. But the session just started, so we popped over to the Milk Innovation Lab since there is no queue. We queued for the dental clinic and the kids were given a tube of toothpaste after role-play as an junior dentist. The next stop was making candy and of cos the kids have to pay using their kidZos dollars. We returned to the Mezzanine Floor to join back the Paddle Pop queue. Each kid was rewarded with a Paddle Pop after learning about the making of ice cream.
It was about 3pm, I estimated we could complete another 4 activities before we call it quit for the day. So, John & Joy went to do courier service by collecting parcels from the Perankan Museum and the BBQ shops. Next they hopped over to do window cleaning. The kids were so happy to be given a pail, sponge, water spray, squeegee and a cloth to clean the windows of the museum prior getting paid 8 Kidzos dollars.
The kids bumped into Caleb, who was at the Stadium. So the kids decided to join their friends for a soccer game, and Caleb was stopped as he did not have proper shoes-wear. After the game, I quickly brought Joy to the shopping alley to have a make-up session while John decided to do another round of courier service.
We ended the day at the Chicken restaurant, aka KFC in which the kids learnt to make a burger. Before leaving the premises, we purchased 2 magnets at $30, with their print out of John & Joy with their pizza.
