Family trip to Melaka- Day 1

It has been awhile since we organised a family trip to Melaka. The last trip was back in 2011! Omg... that's like 5 years back!

It's also our 2nd time to do a road trip with John and Joy. We have prepared the kids on the upcoming road trip to Melaka. Hence the kids have no issue in getting up early in the morning. So we took a cab down to Jurong Big Box, which is the coach pick-up point. We headed to Mac for a quick breakfast at JEM before walking over the Big Box. At 8.30am, the bus departed for the Tuas checkpoint. 1st Aunt did not join the trip as she has to look after her hubby who was not well and Wei Wei had his school camp. The headcount was down by 2!

We arrived at Melaka at around 12pm. The coach could only alight us at the outside of the Jonker street as our hotel is the other end. So we pushed our luggage and walked to check into the motel. After checking in, we headed out to have our lunch. As Poo Poo was hungry, we simply just walked into a small kopitiam to have our lunch. And coincidentally, that was the wanton noodle stall that Rena introduced me. So we ordered wanton noodles while Ah Dear spotted the chicken rice and ordered a plate of rice balls + chicken. And the chicken was tender and we ended up ordering more for both the tables.

This time round, we had 3rd aunt travelling with us. She refused to get out of the motel cos of the strong sun. Hence we packed some food for her and headed back to motel for the kids to have their afternoon nap. The rest headed out to the Makota Shopping mall and came back with the crepes.

During the night, we headed out to the Nonya Restaurant- Alantic which Ah Kuan recommended. And we had a great feast before taking a stroll down the night market of Jonker street.
