Day 7 - Tesselaar Tulip Festival

I have arranged our trip in Oct so we can make a trip to annual Tulip festival that take place around this period at Mt Dandenong. After breakfast, we drove to Dandenong area to meet up with the Teo's family.

Quickly, we bought our tickets and head down to the patches of tulips. Probably it's due to the wet weather, the soil was soft and our shoes were stained with the mud. And the kids, esp John who is a freak in term of cleanliness, insisted that i cleaned his shoes. Fainted! Well, the 3 kids had fun running around and chasing each other and the adults were busy taking photos with garden of tulips.

As we are there during the Children week, there were activities for the kids such as Face painting, Sand art. Joy requested to have her face painted as Frozen Princess while John refused to have his face painted. Joy really enjoyed herself and she refused to let me wash her face. She said "I want to show my face to Aunt Ayu". Fainted. I have to convince her to take pic and whatapps to Aunt Ayu before she allowed me to wash her face that night! Paul had his face painted as butterfly.

It was noon and all are hungry. So Ah Ping went to buy the twist potatoes and the kids enjoyed it. We ordered some pizza and finger food as well as hot drinks to keep us warm. I bought a place of Poffertjes, Dutch dessert, small little fluffy pancakes to go with chocolate, cream or jam. After our lunch, Ah Ping brought the kids to the Sand Art stall, and it's was pretty cheap to have a piece of sand-art for $5 which include lamination after you are done.

After that, we parted ways with the Teo's family who is heading to the Puffing billy. As it's was still early, we decided to head back to DFO as Ah dear and Ah Ping want to continue their shopping spree part 2. Woo Hoo!

This time round, i headed to Magic Wok to "tao-bao" dinner before they close at 5pm! For the kids, I quickly whipped up Chicken porridge for them with the leftover chicken from the fridge.
