Day 2- Shopping at Queen Victoria market

After a good rest, everyone is recharged. On the 2nd day of our trip, we headed down to Queen Victoria so the aunties can shop for soveniors to bring back for their friends! Of cos this is the place where Joy kept pestering her 小姑 to buy her the soft toys fr kangeroo, koalas, and many more.

Of cos I hit straight to the Donut Jam van when I saw it! It has been a good 14 years since we last met! Haha! And of cos the donuts are coated with sugar so the 2 kids enjoyed it!

By 1pm, everyone is tired and hungry. So we headed back to city for lunch. We wanted to have Shanghai noodles for lunch but it was packed and the place was small. So we walked back to Vietnam noodles place as the 2 old ones were hungry by then. We got a summon ticket as we exceeded the hour for parking. It's a expensive lesson of $76 bucks!

The next location was Flinders streets. So I directed Ah Dear to park opposite of Federation Square to save the trouble to find a parking lot and the risk of getting another tickets. The parking attendant was an Indian, who was kind enough to tell us to park after 4pm as its a flat rate charge of $13 bucks!

So we headed down to Flinders station to take pic as its an iconic building in Melbourne. Next we realised the entire tram system within Melbourne city is free. SO we can hop on any tram to get to the location. And we walked back to Flinders station and hopped on tram 5 down to the State library.

Over there we smelt the push cart selling crepes. So Ah Ping and I decided ... let's try! We ordered 1 peanut crepe and chocolate and banana crepe. Before I get to enjoy it, my son came running.. "mummy, I want to poo poo!" My next reaction is.. ok.. let wear yr diapers first.. Next Daddy went to source for a toilet, and found one at the State Library. So after cleaning up John, we thou we can settle down to enjoy the crepe, but the crepe was hardened due to the cold weather. Sigh!

After that we headed down to a Chinese Cafe for our dinner before heading back to Flinders Street for the night view. Ah Ping and I decided to take some jumping pictures, and guess what, my JoyJoy joined us in jumping! hahaha!  We headed further down to Crown Casino to see the fire show. By then the elderly were tired so we arranged Ah Ping to stay with them, while Ah Dear and us, with kids headed back to the carpark to pick the car. Along the way, the kids knocked out, while we enjoyed the walk back along Yarra River.
